About the Author:  Phil Kling, a former writer for Stiller & Meara, is a semi-retired real estate executive, part time standup comedian, a semi prolific comedy script writer and a lover of all things semi sweet.

This new one-hour cable pilot, RETURNING HOME – EPISODE 1, GETTING SETTLED, has an autobiographical tinge and includes some rewriting of a few bits you might recognize from prior submissions. It’s a story set in the 70’s about a young man returning to his New York City neighborhood, an area dominated by mobsters, unions and little old Italian ladies.

As the Dad (author) of this dark comedy Phil often found himself falling in love with all his children (plot lines). Hard to choose your favorite child.
