HSSW Launches Its Fall/Early Winter Season on 9/22 With Bobby Capoccia’s & April Lecours’ Screenplay THE NORTH END CODE

September 22, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$10.00

What happens when a former limousine driver writes a story inspired by his past life? In this case, it piques the interest of another writer who jumps in with new eyes. Welcome to THE NORTH END CODE, a rewrite of the screenplay BACK IN THE DAY.

Think TAXI DRIVER meets SOMETHING WILD which was a Jonathan Demme breakout hit for Melanie Griffith and Jeff Daniels in 1986.
Time: from 7:00 – 9:00 PM.  As usual, we’ll meet virtually via Zoom.
Logline: A hard-working Italian-American finds his “Lady Luck” love in Boston’s North End, but she happens to be the ex-girlfriend of a vindictive gangster. They are forced to flee to Florida, where a desperate act, which goes against everything his family taught him, becomes his (and her) only shot at freedom.
Genre: Action-Adventure
About the Authors:
Robert Capoccia
After being self-employed for over 40 years, Bobby Capoccia finally retired and moved to Conway, NH. One of his businesses was a limousine service. Over the years he was involved in this enterprise, he dealt with everyone from children to celebrities to newlyweds to gangsters. These experiences ignited his desire to write BACK IN THE DAY and share some of life’s perils, growing up in Boston’s North End.
In his younger days, his life was all about sports. Bobby played high school, college, and semi-pro football. Later, he coached for several years until he finally hung up his cleats. He also studied Karate, which was a major factor in his life growing up.
Some of his hobbies are playing guitar in a rock and roll band called “Decades of Rock,” and collecting vinyl records and old coins.
As a proud husband, father, and grandfather, Bobby can finally enjoy his family to the fullest. He learned the importance of family and values from his Italian parents, who always said, “If you’re not a man of your word, you’re not a man. Do good and good will come to you, and there is a first time for everything.”  So far, they’ve been right, and that’s why he now writes.
