On Monday, January 12th We Take a Look at The Transformation of Feature BACK IN THE DAY to Series STRETCH

January 12 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$10.00
After pitching their feature to a reader for NETFLIX, authors  April Lecours and Bobby Capoccia were told there might be a market for a series featuring a limo driver and his ongoing crazy encounters.

So they have now revamped  their feature film BACK IN THE DAY and renamed it STRETCH, re-imagined as a 30 minute comedy series.
Our task? To help them make it the best possible submission.
As usual, we will meet virtually from 7:00 – 9:00 PM EST.
The script and some examples of follow-on episodes are offered for critique.
LOGLINE: A stretch limo driver from Boston’s mob-entangled North End dreams of DJ stardom, picking up outrageous passengers who help him find his beat or scratch his record, as he stretches himself to remix his life, dodge the local mob, and resist his most relentless recruiter, his own mother.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
ROBERT CAPOCCIA
After being self-employed for over 40 years, Bobby Capoccia finally retired and moved to Conway, NH. One of his businesses was a limousine service. Over the years, he was involved in this enterprise, he dealt with everyone from children to celebrities to newlyweds to gangsters. These experiences ignited his desire to write BACK IN THE DAY and share some of life’s perils, growing up in Boston’s North End.
In his younger days, Bobby’s life was all about playing sports. Bobby played high school, college, and semi-pro football. Later, he coached for several years until he finally hung up his cleats. He also studied Karate, which was a major factor in his life growing up. His 5 AM gym workouts have proven to be very rewarding, both physically and mentally.
Some of his hobbies are playing guitar in a rock and roll band called “Decades of Rock,” and collecting vinyl records and old coins.
As a proud husband, father, and grandfather, Bobby can finally enjoy his family to the fullest. He learned the importance of family and values from his Italian parents, who always said, “If you’re not a man of your word, you’re not a man. Do good and good will come to you, and there is a first time for everything.”  So far, they’ve been right, and that’s why he now writes.
