Monday, 2/16 We Take a Look at the Proof of Concept Script UNDERGROUND for the Series SOCCER SAL

February 16 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$10.00
What happens when a wealthy, well meaning but ignorant housewife/former professor discovers that her housekeeper of 18 years is actually undocumented and facing imminent deportation? This is one of many challenges that Sally Morris faces in this dramedic series SOCCER SAL.

At times in the recent past, there have been 3 new pathways to citizenship proposed (two from the Biden administration and one from the Senate which was voted down in May ’24). Biden’s US CITIZEN ACT of 2021 was shot down by Congress, as was his KEEPING FAMILIES TOGETHER program from ’24 which called for “parole in place.” The latter executive order was struck down by a federal judge in November of 2024 after about 1 day in effect.
If any of these had seen the light of day, our character Maria would be looking at another reality.
BACK TO MEETING DETAILS:
As always, we’ll be meeting virtually from 7:00 – 9:00 PM EST. So, you can join us from anywhere in the world!
There are flashbacks that add cost and complexity to the shoot so the author would like your thoughts on these. Are they worth it?
