On Monday 10/19 We Review Genine Tillotson’s Politically Satiric Play, THE ORIGINALISTS

October 19 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$10.00

On Monday, October 19th, with possibly one of the most contentious midterms in US history looming, Genine Tillotson invites reviewers to reflect on what various historical figures might say about our current state of democracy.  What might our ever-advancing AI avatars teach us about this 250 year-old political experiment?

Genine Tillotson’s political satire, THE ORIGINALISTS, explores what she thought would be futuristic science fiction, but instead, is our reality RIGHT NOW, thanks to the mad-paced advancement of generative artificial intelligence.

NOTE: There is a plan to add projected background visuals to enhance the drama of the play, which have not yet been identified. But Genine just wanted to get the core dramedy down. And get your reactions!
LOGLINE: A brilliant programmer and fan of American history re-creates five prominent historical figures, bringing them to life as sentient holograms, then inviting them into a dialogue about the state of US democracy. Hoping to impress a long-time crush, the coder is in for a surprise when he invites her to witness his virtual reality experiment.
 GENRE: Political Satire; Dramedy
