Logline: A coming-of-age story about a young teenager’s search for freedom. A young black girl escapes apartheid South Africa to join a guerrilla group, but her life is irreversibly changed by a chance encounter with a Swedish man and his racehorse.
About the author: Manju Soni is an eye surgeon and an author. Her nonfiction ebook, WHEN LIONS ROARED: HOW BRAVE YOUNG PEOPLE DEFIED APARTHEID, was published in 2016 by Amazon Kindle Singles, UK. Her psychological suspense short story, THE GAME, appeared in the Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine in the January 2017 issue.
