Charlie Lyons, a lawyer by trade, who often explores the criminal element in his screenplays, turned his attention to the behavior of a spoiled and impossibly self-centered rich housewife in this tale of domestic mayhem.
The protagonist (or is she?), Margaret DuChamp makes Royal Tenenbaum look like a pussycat as she schemes to control and subdue her questioning college-age son and a former maid who she has betrayed to the immigration authorities.
