On Monday, March 17th, Maria Agui Carter, president of Iguana Films, documentary writer, producer, and director (most recently of Rebel), will present her outline for Mariposa (Butterfly), her first effort in the domain of fictional narrative.
Agui Carter’s working log line — A dramatic feature about a mother who must choose between her children, because of their undocumented status, and the daughter she does not choose, in a coming of age film about a Latina teen, self-taught web coder, seeking beauty in an unlovely world who attains deliverance through her explorations as a budding entomologist promises an ambitious story to come.
This is an excellent opportunity for HSSW members to experience a detailed scene-by-scene outline and to react at this formative stage of the concept.
Review is being held at 72 Columbus Street, Newton Highlands, MA Doors open at 6:30, meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. Dues $15.00, including snacks.
