Carissa Steefel will have a re-write of her screenplay, Mean Moms, re-entitled PTA Wars, reviewed on Monday, September 15th. The log line -A separated K-Mart Mom runs for presdent of the PTA; her challenger — the snobby incumbent mother who rules the school with an iron spatula.
C.K. Steefel is an award-winning writer and actor. Her one-woman show, “I Can Fit My Fist in My Mouth” received the Top Ten Best New Plays by the Los Angeles Village View, and her first screenplay, Understanding Chekov won the Diane Thimas Screenwriting Award, organized by Amblin Entertainment. She is a member of the Writers’ Guild of America and is sometimes recognized by extreme Seinfeld fans for her role as Sylvia in the episode, “The Cigar Store Indian.” Her gift/humor book You Definitely Know You’re A Mom When… can be purchased on Amazon.
