On February 4th, we’ll be reviewing Charlie Lyon’s stage play Confidential Informant which was first conceived as a screenplay. With his background as a former prosecutor, Charlie knows a bit about the topic.
LOGLINE: A detective, whose son is addicted to heroin, coerces a young woman into making undercover drug buys.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Charlie Lyons has been writing film scripts and TV pilots for a while. His half-hour comedy pilot The DuChamps was a semifinalist in the 2016 Austin Film Festival, and was also the winner of the Original Comedy category of CineStory’s 2017 TV/Digital competition. Additionally, his drama feature Strays (written with Rodrigo Monterrey) and a Transparent spec script advanced to the second round at Austin in 2016.
