The final script of the semester is by Genine and she hopes to see your butts out there for her review. It’s a dark comedy. This is the pilot.
Title: The Notonians
Episode Title: Sand
Logline: Two aliens from the dying planet Noton travel to prospective new home Earth to determine why so many of its young inhabitants are depressed and not appreciative of their gloriously rich habitat.
Think Gilmore Girls meets Third Rock From The Sun meets Election meets Sex Education.
This is the 1st draft – very rough IHHO. Brutal feedback is very much appreciated!
As a special bonus she will include the original color-coded outline. If you bother to read it, you’ll see how she threaded the various narratives together for this ensemble cast and will note how many scenes were cut to keep this to 60 pages. It was an interesting and painful exercise. [ She also ultimately broke the act structure in a different way as well.]
