Harvard Square Script Writers meetings are intended to provide a constructive and nurturing environment in the spirit of learning – for all participants. Members must therefore comply with the following rules regarding the submission of materials and must adhere to the guidelines outlined below pertaining to privacy and respect of intellectual property. Compliance with these guidelines is critical to being part of the HSSW community:

FOR AUTHORS SUBMITTING WORK

You warrant that the material you are submitting is your original work and that you have the full legal authority to present it publically.  If this is a work based on a story concept, memoir, novel or other adapted source or you attest that you are a co-writer (sharing credit with other authors), You moreover attest that you have the authority to be the representative of this work for purposes of critical review and coverage.

You therefore agree that you will not be entitled to any compensation nor will have any legal recourse if another member of HSSW is developing content in a similar vein to your work.

If your submission has content that is deemed too inflammatory, incomplete, or offensive to allow for a meaningful educational experience in the judgement of the HSSW Board, you recognize that your work may be rejected for review.  In the event of this outcome, you may be asked to revise or withdraw the submitted material.

HSSW reserves the right to reject any material that it deems inappropriate, based on its editorial guidelines and professional standards.
