HSSW Presents a Workshop Full of Pitch Decks & Discussion on How to Make One Great

February 5 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$10.00
You’ve written your script and now it’s time to try to get it sold. What is one of THE MOST IMPORTANT assets in your arsenal of promotional materials? A pitch deck! You’re invited to a virtual workshop and feedback session on the art and craft of this critical presentation tool on Monday, February 5th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM.

This virtual workshop will consist of 3 parts:
1) Discussion of what should be included in a pitch deck and the different types that exist, in part depending on where your project is in its life cycle
2) The tools and methods available to create an effective pitch deck and how to find artistic resources (artists, graphical tools, software)
3) Examination of 4 pitch decks from very different projects which you should review ahead. Participants will have the opportunity to react to these presentations, providing feedback to the creators.
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 PM EST
A sample of what we’ll review:
The pitch deck for psychological drama/road trip feature, THE UNREAL LIFE OF PINO SMITH by Rick Groleau
The animated family adventure film, CAT, DAWG AND DALTON by Bob Tremblay and Genine Tillotson, illustrated by Risa Cohen
The biopic/sports drama/courtroom suspense feature, A COACH’S STAND – THE DAN ALLEN STORY by Andrew Lemelman and Genine Tillotson, designed by Luke Mahoney
We’ll also take a look at how Paul Falcone is using MAGE to create whole scenes and a sizzle reel and/or pitch deck for his surrealistic sex romp JON (currently a podcast). Please check out the link here to watch his entire JON scene. To learn even more about MAGE, optionally click here or here for Paul’s 2-part tutorial.
