On 9/27 Bill Holland Presents His Latest Pilot, FALLING HOME, Inspired by the Novel ON BRASSARDS FARM

September 27, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$10.00

Bill Holland has teamed up with best-selling author, Daniel Hecht to adapt this drama into a limited series.

LOGLINE: Fleeing a string of personal disasters, ANN TURNER, a 35-year-old schoolteacher from Boston, seeks refuge and renewal on land she buys in the woods above a Vermont dairy farm. Two years of character strength-building hardship culminate in finding the love of her life and a true sense of home.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Bill Holland started writing screenplays back in 1978, and life has never been quite the same. After seeing Breaking Away, he became obsessed with getting a similar movie made, featuring the sport of cross-country ski racing. Sometime in the mid-90s he ran a script through HSSW entitled Fire in the Blood that explored the issue of blood-doping on the international race circuit.

After many years teaching high school English and U.S. History, Bill has turned his
energies into pursuing full-time an avocation dear to his heart: screenwriting. He has taught the subject at the University of Massachusetts and at Vermont’s Burlington College.

His World War II script, Two Roads to Riva, is ranked in the top 10% of all scripts listed on Coverfly and is currently under consideration by four ISA (International Screenwriters Association) -verified producers.

An owner of four Nigerian dwarf goats, Bill has a longstanding interest in local, sustainable agriculture and has covered the topic for his hometown newspaper in every community where he and his family have lived for the past 30 years.

Though currently sojourning in Boulder, CO, where his youngest daughter attends Tara Waldorf Performing Arts H.S., Bill normally resides with his family in Freeport, Maine.
