Script Review for Joel Karlinsky’s “The Hourglass,” April 4th

Come and help Joel to evolve this script into a truly final draft. He has worked long and hard on it and it has placed in several prestigious contests.

Log line: A reluctant ne’er-do-well apprentice wins the love of a princess and finds the father he never had by constructing a magic hourglass that saves her kingdom from her evil half-brother.

About the Author: Joel is a graduate of MIT with a degree in Aero and Astro Engineering and another in Life Sciences. He earned an MD at Tufts and an MBA at Boston University as well as a Certificate in Screenwriting from UCLA. Currently, Joel is a Professor of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. He has been a member of HSSW for ten years and has written ten full-length features, mostly comedic. One of his features, Zombie Cop, was a winner of the 2015 Stage 32 New Blood Contest, and was stage-read at the Central Square Theatre in Cambridge, MA in 2014.

Meeting is at the usual location at 66 Winthrop Street, Cambridge.  Dues, as always, $15.00.
