On Monday, 4/6 We Review The 1st Act of “Guards,” by New Member Henrique Santos

On Monday, April 6th we welcome Henrique Santos, a new member, presenting the 1st act of his 1st screenplay with us. Hopefully, we can offer suggestions about how he can move forward, developing a killer second and third act and a satisfying resolution for his feature GUARDS.

If you plan to participate, please contact genine@hsswriters.com to learn about online payment options. We prefer Zelle as that system charges us nothing. We are immediately notified when you pay, so that also acts as your sign-up.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to write. Zoom invites are sent out by noon on the Monday of the event. Please do not wait until the last minute to sign up.

LOGLINE: A money struggling and introverted man in his early 20s faces the ultimate challenge when he’s tricked by his best friend into taking on the task of making a huge drug deal. This could either land him in deep trouble or get him the biggest payment of his life.

GENRE: Buddy Comedy

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Henrique Santos is a college grad who worked as a lifeguard for about 6 years and definitely does not wish to go back. But he is grateful for the experience as it led him to meet so many extraordinary, strange, amazing and awful people; which of course is a gold mine for writing. He hopes to encapsulate some of those funny and weird encounters into this specific piece and, of course, in many more to come.
