Script Review for Kwasi Mensah’s Script, “Double Diva,” Monday Jan. 11th

Kwasi Mensah is a stand up comedian who offers insightful observations about race, identity, and maturity through his work.  With Double Diva, he’s turned his writing focus onto a TV pilot.

KwasiLog Line: After quitting her job as a corporate finance lawyer, Megan becomes the financial manager for a nearly bankrupt pop star… who happens to be her twin sister.

With a smattering of original pilots and spec scripts under his belt, Kwasi hopes this series could be the ticket into a television writing gig. You can find out more about his other work (including a schedule of comedy dates) at http://www.kwasiisfunny.com/

Kwasi explains what he’s after in a review: “I want to cut two pages so feedback on what darlings to kill would be really helpful. Otherwise, general feedback on what makes sense/what isn’t working for you would be really helpful.”

The meeting will be held at 66 Winthrop Street in Cambridge, at 7:00 p.m. Dues are $15.
