MEET OUR PITCH EVALUATORS

JANICE PIERONI
Janice Pieroni’s professional experience includes working as an executive at Universal Studios, as a co-writer for Universal Studios and its affiliates, and as an assistant to Martin Scorsese.
Through Story Arts Management®, which she founded in 2004, she has developed and placed approximately 25 client book projects with such publishers as Simon & Schuster, W.W. Norton, Wiley, and others, and she has guided numerous client screenplays into development with producers.
Janice also is a Senior Affiliated Faculty Member at Emerson College, where she teaches screenwriting, pilot writing, and television writing. This summer, she will be teaching “The Business of Screenwriting” through Emerson College’s Screenwriting Certificate Program.
Janice is a member of Writers Guild of America.

BARRY BRODSKY

Barry Brodsky is a published and produced playwright and screenwriter. He teaches screenwriting and playwriting at Lesley University’s low residency MFA Creative Writing program and at Boston University’s Film School.

He was the Director of the Screenwriting Certificate Program at Emerson College. His short screenplay, I MISS YOU, was nominated for Best Short Film at the Madrid International Film Festival in 2013.

VINCA JARRETT
Vinca Jarrett, Esq. is an entertainment attorney focused on film, television, digital media, and theatre, counselling clients around the world.
Feature films she is known for include The Fourth Kind, The Perfect Game, Swing Away, and documentaries that have premiered at TIFF, including Far Out Isn’t Far Enough and Witch Hunt.
Currently in production is the TV home improvement series Back Home, and the narrative feature Don’t Stop Me Now, which will shoot in the UK in 2019. Projects range from micro indies and television to studio movies, for which she has worked on financing, including Aliens vs. Predators and Die Hard IV.
She also heads up FilmPro Finance, which she founded in 2002, a financial consulting firm that guides financiers and producers on how to put together projects, and helps with introductions to distribution and finance.
Vinca is a former co-chair of the Bloomberg TV & Finance Summit, featured on CBS, Fox, and NPR.
She has guided writers since 1990, through her Skriptease Script Consulting service, helping many of her clients to bring their scripts to the highest standards.

 

MICHELE MEEK

Dr. Michele Meek is a filmmaker, professor, writer, and creative entrepreneur. Her most recent film, Imagine Kolle 37, a short documentary-fiction hybrid film about two girls who imagine their way to a real Berlin adventure playground, is currently screening at festivals across the country.

She founded NewEnglandFilm.com, an online magazine, directory and festival website that has become a leading resource for filmmakers in the region.
