Learn About Why We Outline & Critique Genine’s “Slip In Time” Time Travelling Adventure on 11/19

On Monday, 11/19 we’ll dive into the important topic of script outlining. Outlines come in many sizes and flavors but doing one can help you to assess the entire structure  of your story – before you develop a complete script – saving you hundreds of hours of work.

We’ll look at the 1st draft outline of the feature film Slip In Time.
Some of HSSWers had heard a pitch for this, made to Bill Marsilii during a workshop several years ago.  His tough questions really helped Genine to focus on what form the story could/should take.

Genre:  Fantasy Dramedy

This story was also inspired by Tom Brokaw’s book The Greatest Generation.
Logline:  When a highly successful but disenchanted NYC ad exec is suddenly transported  back to WWII Manhattan, her life is turned upside down by the experience.
For the first 20 minutes of the meeting, we’ll discuss outlines and beat sheets.
Then, we’ll get into a specific critique of this narrative.  Paul Falcone, another WWII buff, will moderate.
